Liming St. Lucian Style
Most of St. Lucias nightlife and entertainment options are located in the Rodney Bay area of Gros Islet, north of the island. Many hotels and resorts provide entertainment for their guests on a nightly basis, however, if you really want to experience the local liming scene, you need to check out some of the popular hot spots on the island. On Fridays, be sure to check out the nightly street parties at Gros Islet and Anse La Raye (Be prepared before you go).
The town of Gros Islet has its famous Friday Night Jump Up street party (section of the town is closed to vehicular traffic) with loud music and dancing in the streets and plenty of grilled street food and drinks. The fishing village of Anse La Raye has its fast growing Seafood Fridays which is a nightly hangout spot to feast on fresh local seafood of the day and enjoy live outdoor entertainment.
When planning your visit to St. Lucia, ensure that you spend a Friday night on the island. It's one those days in the week that you can't afford to miss out.
