Saint Lucia Cricket
Cricket is by far one of St. Lucia’s leading spectator sports. St. Lucia is usually host to a one-day international cricket game at its Beausejour state of the art cricket grounds, located in Gros Islet. Most St. Lucian cricket fans are West Indies [team] loyalist and take the game very seriously, others, use the event as opportunity for a partying and entertainment.
If you are visiting St. Lucia during a scheduled cricket match, round up a group and go for the lime and enjoy yourself. One of the best locations to hangout within the grounds is at the Piton Beer Party Stand. There, you are guaranteed a true West Indian cricket experience involving plenty of jokes and laughter, eating and drinking, and a sense of camaraderie. St. Lucians are friendly people and at a cricket game, everyone is your friend, unless you choose otherwise. There are other seating arrangements within the facility where you can view the game, however, when you look over at the Piton Beer Party Stand and see the fans, you are sure to get up an head over.
